Kjell Tore Innervik has attracted attention both in Norway and abroad as an individual artist who is not afraid to explore new music and new ways of communicating through music. Innervik studied percussion at the Norwegian Academy of Music, completing his Diploma in advanced performing studies in 2003. Innervik has currently finished afellowship on the artistic research and development programme at the Norwegian Academy of Music, and are currently holding a 4 year Assocoated Professor position in the focuses area: Musical Creation and Renewal with the NIME project; New Instruments for Musical Expression. He has won several competitions, and was selected to take part in the Norwegian Concert Institute’s prestigious young artists’ programme, INTRO Classical, from 2004 to 2007
