WORLD PREMIERE: HUGI GUÐMUNDSSON: THE GOSPEL OF MARY Oslo Sinfonietta || Schola Cantorum (Iceland) || Hörður Áskelsson, conductor Berit Norbakken, soprano || Kåre Nordstoga, organ Sunday 20 March 19:00, Oslo Cathedral The award-winning Icelandic contemporary composer Hugi Guðmundsson has written a full-length church musical work on commission from Reykjavik Friends of the Arts Society and Oslo International Church Music Festival. The oratorio is entitled The Gospel of Mary and premieres in Oslo, in a collaboration between the Oslo Sinfonietta and the Icelandic Schola Cantorum, conducted by Hörður Áskelsson.
